Solutions Linux 2007, day 1
Par Guillaume Lelarge - PlanetPostgreSQL - Lien permanent
I think Magnus already told a lot about this first day at Solutions Linux. We are happy to have Magnus and Devrim with us at the booth. It's always nice to see people IRL. It's a bit disappointing that we don't have wifi access but at least we can use wired network. We even managed to get https access (I really don't understand why we can have http access but no https access). At least, I can do something for the wired connection : tomorrow I'll bring a hub.
We had some people today, unfortunately less than I thought. Questions were mostly on two subjects : new 8.3 features and configuration settings. I always found interesting to give users some advice on postgresql.conf tuning.
Here are some photos :
Magnus Hagander explaining postgresql.conf fine tuning,
Stéphane Schildknecht and a new postgresqlfr.org member (and Devrim behind, with a really great blue tshirt),
Jean-Paul Argudo, Stéphane Schildknecht and a user,
Damien Clochard and another user
Tomorrow, there will be two talks : one with Magnus and the other with Jean-Paul. It will be great
Oh and I should have written a small paper for pgAdmin : toolbar buttons, menus, stuff like that. I added this on my todo list. I hope to finish soon so I can bring it with me at the FOSDEM.
